1st Day of School

I can't believe my little babies are kindergartners.  They were so excited to start school and especially to ride the bus.  They had a great day their first day.  They already learned about the letter A.  They all woke up early this morning (I didn't even have to wake them up) and got showered and ready all on their own.  Macey got to ride bikes with her friend and was excited to start school too.  She has a new teacher to Kennedy this year.  His room was all decorated in this jungle theme, it was really cute.  Macey is nervous for 3rd grade because she will be learning cursive and times tables.  I know they will do great this year.  It was kinda nice to run errands this morning with just Ryan.  Ryan is going to love all this one on one time he gets with me:)

Storage Wars

Scott and I went to a storage auction last weekend.  We love the show and have always wanted to try it for ourselves.  Scott's sister works at rent master and told us that they were going to be auctioning some storage units.  I was so excited.  They had 5 storage units for auction that day in Idaho Falls.  It's just like the show, they open the door and you can't go in, you can only look from outside, and start bidding.  We saw a bed, chest freezer, washer and dryer and a ton of boxes and totes.  So we decided to take a stab at it and ended up winning the unit.  It was really exciting!!!  We loaded it all up and brought it home to my garage.  It took all day to go through the stuff.  We had a ton of stuff.  Most of it was new, never opened or used.  There was a ton of camping stuff, like dutch ovens, coolers, grills, etc., hunting stuff, kitchen stuff and electronics.  Scott found 4 fly fishing rods, a 22 colt pistol, and a honda generator, which was very exciting.  We spent all week organizing, pricing and selling things.  We sold a lot of it during the week and then we did a garage sale on Saturday to sell the last of the stuff.  We ended up tripling our money and kept a lot of stuff for ourselves.  It was a lot of work, but so worth it.  We can't wait until the next one!!

Ryan's Birthday

Ryan turned 2 on the 28th.  It was Sunday that day so we didn't do much.  I told them to spoil him and make him feel extra special in nursery so I think they gave him some extra gold fish:) We had a cake after dinner, but he was afraid of the candles.  On the Saturday before we went and got him a ball and balloon at the dollar store.  $2 for a present, now that's my kind of birthday present.  He was so happy!! He slept with his balloon until it finally went flat.  We also went to Leo's Place for some pizza and let him play on the playground.

Macey's Baptism Day

My baby Macey got baptized today.  It's crazy how time flies and can't believe I have an 8 year old.  It was a very special day today.  My week has been crazy with me being gone at girls' camp and then come home and get ready for the baptism, but it couldn't have gone any smoother and more perfect.  Macey did great getting baptized by Scott and she looked so pretty in her dress.  We then had the family come over for lunch and cake and presents since I wasn't home for Macey's birthday.  She got really cute jewelry for her baptism and some fun clothes and a ton of earrings.  We then went and got her ears pierced later this afternoon.  She was really nervous that it was going to hurt, but she was brave and let them do it.  She said it hurt a little bit but was really happy she did it.  They sure look cute.  It was a fun and special day, definitely one we will never forget.

I was so excited because the boys are finally old enough to play some city sports.  We signed them up for soccer this summer.  They didn't really know how to play, but they understood that you kick the ball in the goal.  Good enough! It is so fun to watch them play.  They play 4 kids at a time on a team and they just run around in a big group kicking at whatever they can hoping to kick the ball in the middle of all of that.  They boys have fun playing.  They especially love the treats at the end of the game.  Scott and I have fun watching, we are constantly cheering and yelling at the boys to run and kick the ball.  We can be a little too competitive at times.

We signed Macey up for city gymnastics.  She has been wanting to do gymnastics for awhile and we finally let her.  She loves it!  She does flips, head stands, and cartwheels all day long.  She is pretty good too!

4th of July

For the 4th of July this year we went to the Rexburg Parade in the morning.  Then went out to lunch with the Stears Family.  We then headed to the movies to see Despicable Me 2.  We played a little arcade until the movie started. It was a really cute movie... my kids loved it and sat through the whole thing without any complaint (even Ryan).  After the movie we went swimming at Grandma Nicki's.  We didn't get hotel rooms this year like we have done for the past 17 years.  So some of the Stears family went to Idaho Falls to watch the fire works.  Our little family stayed in Rexburg this year.  We were sad to not go to Idaho Falls, but I didn't want fight the crowd and fight Ryan from going in the streets.  We decided to stay in town and watch the Rexburg fireworks.  We found a nice grass spot at the animal shelter and the fireworks were right over our head.  The show was only about 5 minutes but it was fine.  We are too spoiled with Idaho Falls, that anything else is a disappointment.  It was a fun filled day with the family and that's all that matters.
